Disposal of Unwanted Medicines

It is not unusual to have out of date or unwanted medicines in your medical cabinets or first aid boxes at home. However, it is very important to ensure that these are disposed of safely.

It is not unusual to have out of date or unwanted medicines in your medical cabinets or first aid boxes at home.
However, it is very important to ensure that these are disposed of safely.
Always read the leaflets accompanying your medicines for further advice.
You may take your unwanted or out of date medicines to your local Community Pharmacy who will be happy to dispose of them for you.
You can also contact the pharmacy to arrange collection with our local drivers or delivery partners.
The Environmental Agency regulates this service and collects such medicines from our pharmacies at regular intervals.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept chemicals or syringes and you should contact your local Council for assistance.
